Jeremy Allen White tries to maintain a "healthy distance" from social media.
The 35-year-old actor stars in The Social Reckoning, the sequel movie to 2010's The Social Network, and Jeremy has explained why he keeps a distance from social media platforms.
The Hollywood star - who plays Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz in The Social Reckoning - told Extra: "I try to keep a healthy distance from it, but I go down the rabbit hole sometimes. It happens. It's natural. Like, it's addictive, you know?"
Jeremy feels concerned by the potentially damaging impact of social media.
The actor - who has Ezer, seven, and Dolores, five, with ex-wife Addison Timlin - said: "It definitely reinforced all my ideas about my personal relationship to it, but yes, when it comes to younger people, my kids included, I think it sort of set a fire and a fear in me about, just, these people really entering the world for the first time.
"I think young people need to be given an opportunity to understand the world without the hugeness of social media, the connectivity, all the information. I think their world should be as small as they can be for as long as possible."
Despite this, Jeremy acknowledges that it's impossible to return to a pre-social media world.
However, he suggested that the industry needs to be strongly regulated.
The actor explained: "Obviously, this is the world we live in.
"At some point, they're going to have to figure out how to use all this stuff and figure out their own relationship to it, but I think we should try, if possible, to, like, safeguard and protect, you know, young people's relationship to this stuff as much as we can."
Meanwhile, Jesse Eisenberg previously admitted that he rejected the chance to reprise his role as Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Reckoning as he is "moving in different directions in (his) life".
The actor famously played the tech billionaire in The Social Network, but he opted against reprising the role for Aaron Sorkin's sequel.
Speaking to Variety, Jesse said: "It's an honour to speak to Aaron in any capacity, because he's so articulate and charming and so bright.
"We talked about doing the movie for several days. The way Aaron speaks, he speaks so wonderfully, as he writes that, in a way, if you're not going to do something with him, it feels like you're letting down America.
"I just told him I'm moving in different directions in my life."
