Fleetwood Mac alum Lindsey Buckingham was reportedly attacked in Santa Monica by a woman suspected of stalking the musician.

This is not the 76-year-old Grammy winner’s first brush with the woman, who fled after throwing an unknown substance at Buckingham upon his arrival at an appointment, law enforcement sources told NBC4 Investigates.

The woman is believed to have targeted the “Go Your Own Way” musician after learning his whereabouts. Authorities have identified her and plan to make an arrest but she had not yet been taken into custody at the time of publication.

The Daily News has reached out to LAPD and Santa Monica police for further information about the past incidents and the woman’s identity.

Representatives for Buckingham did not immediately return The News’ request for comment.

It’s unclear how many times the suspect has previously targeted the guitarist, when those prior incidents occurred or whether anyone was injured.

In October 2024, Buckingham’s team addressed “a recent rise in fake social media accounts claiming to be Lindsey or members of his team … attempting to sell access to him in exchange for money.”

That December, outlets reported that Buckingham secured a temporary restraining order against a female stalker, named Michelle. The woman, who was 52 at the time, allegedly began harassing Buckingham’s wife and son, dating back to 2021.

It’s unknown whether Michelle is also the woman suspected in this week’s incident.
