'HOPPERS'

Rated PG for action/peril, some scary images and mild language.

What it’s about: An animated action-comedy about an eco-activist who goes undercover as a beaver to save her favorite nature spot.

The kid attractor factor: The animated style, cute characters and humor will be a draw for kids and families.

Good lessons/bad lessons: The key to sustainability is working together and learning to share our precious resources.

Violence: Some action and perilous sequences and some scary images and moments.

Language: Cheeky jokes but nothing too strong.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Very young kids might find certain parts a little scary, but generally OK for all audiences.

'THE BRIDE!'

Rated R for strong/bloody violent content, sexual content/nudity and language.

What it’s about: A modern take on the Bride of Frankenstein, which sees her as a rebellious 1930s gangster's moll.

The kid attractor factor: Too extreme for kids — this is a feminist horror film aimed at adult audiences.

Good lessons/bad lessons: To be honest, this movie is too incoherent to impart any lessons other than "girl power!"

Violence: Some bloody and grotesque images and themes, shooting, murders, etc.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: Sexual content, sexual violence.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Too extreme for kids. Fine for teens and up.
