2 of modern rock's top bands team up for classic tour

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Devo and The B-52s are ready to rock in 2025.
The two iconic modern-rock acts are teaming up for the 2025 Cosmic De-Evolution Tour, a co-headlining 11-date run that continues both bands’ ongoing (and very lengthy) farewell treks.
“Devo and The B-52s on tour together,” says Gerry Casale of Devo. “That it took almost 50 years to happen is rather mind-blowing. But better late than never. We each did something right in different ways that withstood the test of time. Now we’re here to prove we can still ‘bring it,’ as they say.”
Devo and B-52s tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. June 20, livenation.com. There are also CITI and AMEX presales beginning June 16.
“In 2022, I swore I’d never get on a tour bus again” said Fred Schneider of the B-52s. “But we were careful to say to our fans that we would still perform in special situations that don’t require all of the awful tour travel. Our Vegas residency is going great, and when we were offered the chance to do a small run of shows with Devo, we all said this is an extraordinary opportunity we couldn’t say no to.”
Devo also performs at this year’s Mosswood Meltdown Festival, which is set for July 19-20 in Oakland.
