Jailed music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is scheduled to be released from FCI Fort Dix earlier than expected.

Inmate 37452-054 is slated to be sprung from that New Jersey prison on Feb. 5, 2028, according to the Bureau of Prisons’ inmate finder.

TMZ reported last month that the 56-year-old Harlem native was listed as being due for release on Feb. 23, 2028, after having previously been slated for Jan 24, 2028.

The “I’ll be Missing You” rapper was sentenced to more than four years behind bars in October. He was convicted of transporting escorts across the U.S. to engage in sexual performances he called “freak-offs.”

Combs’ has at one point been scheduled for release in June 2028. That date has moved several times.

Corrections officials have repeatedly declined to offer information specific to individual inmates due to safety concerns, though one representative said after his last date change that weekends and holidays can alter release plans. It’s unclear what factors played into Combs’ latest date change.

TMZ reported that Combs was placed in solitary confinement following an altercation with another inmate in July. He was reportedly released back into the prison’s general population weeks later.

Combs also faced sex trafficking and RICO charges when he went on trial in May 2025. He could’ve spent the rest of his life in prison had he been convicted on those charges. A Manhattan jury cleared him on those counts in July 2025.
