MINNEAPOLIS — Alpha News on Friday published what appeared to be video recorded by ICE agent Jonathan Ross during the deadly shooting of Renee Good on Wednesday in Minneapolis.
The 48-second video, posted by the Minnesota-based conservative outlet, begins with Ross exiting his vehicle and approaching Good as she sits behind the wheel of her Honda Pilot as it’s parked perpendicular on Portland Avenue. The scene is loud, with sirens and vehicle horns blaring.
With her window down and a dog in the back seat, Good says, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you.”
Ross, who can be seen in the reflection of the vehicle, then continues around the back of Good’s SUV. He films the license plate as a woman yells, “Show your face!” The footage then shows the woman holding up her own cellphone and telling Ross: “We don’t change our plates every morning, just so you know. It will be the same plate when you come talk to us later.
“That’s fine; U.S. citizen. ... You wanna come at us? You wanna come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy.”
Although the Minnesota Star Tribune has not confirmed the woman’s identity, she resembles Good’s wife, Becca Good, who confirmed in a statement to MPR News that she was also at the scene that day.
As Ross is on the passenger side of the vehicle, other agents approach and order Renee Good out, saying “get outta the car,” and then repeating the phrase with an expletive as Renee Good reverses and Becca Good tries to get in from the passenger’s side.
Ross is again at the driver’s side when Renee Good turns the wheel to the right and begins to drive forward. The phone pans toward the sky as Ross grunts and three gunshots are fired. It’s unclear from the footage whether the vehicle hit Ross.
After the gunshots, a voice can be heard saying an expletive and then “bitch” as the SUV speeds away and crashes.
