BOSTON — A JetBlue plane veered off a Boston Logan runway Thursday, and the airport temporarily stopped all departures.

The arriving JetBlue aircraft “experienced an irregular landing” at Logan, according to Massachusetts State Police. The plane went into the grass while turning off the runway.

JetBlue Flight 312 — an Airbus A220 that departed Chicago O’Hare International Airport — rolled into the grassy area off runway 33-L at around 11:55 a.m. There were no reported injuries.

The FAA says it will investigate the incident.

“The runway is closed at this time as the aircraft is assessed and passengers are bused to the terminal,” a Massport spokesperson said in a statement.

There was a ground stop on departures until 2 p.m. as the aircraft was being moved.

“Safety is JetBlue’s top priority,” JetBlue said in a statement. “We will conduct a full investigation of the incident and will work closely with the relevant authorities to understand the cause.”
